wake butterfly

it's late

we've miles to go together

an early monsoon arrived

shaking trees, drenching landscapes,

shaking up Spring

with lightening, thunder

and purple plum skies.

 

shingles blew off the weathered roof,

power flickered on then off then on again

and when it was all spent-

this unexpected exhilarating shake up

took the internet connection with it

and never looked back!

haiku my heart

 

 

 

love infinite love 

hoping for each one of us

to become its flame

 

 

i cannot tell you why

when life winds down; narrow enough

to slip through the eye of a needle-

an infinite horizon of memories unfurl. 

 

 from this vantage point -

of almost goodbye

stories float up and pierce our hearts,

voices rise like heat shaken off the earth.

 

it's as if all the stories ever told

are a field of  flowers

waiting for souls bound on "cross country flights"

to share them

as they sail forever by.

 

there is no end to the love that hums in thin air

forever hoping for a foothold in our hearts

to be holy received;

and in this willingness

 the simplicity of life finally comes to us-

 only in our letting go are we 

forever received-

to dwell together as one,  

 infinite love.

 

 

happy mothers day to every one of us-

for we are all love's flame.
