liminal space
somewhere...
between the familiar
and the completely unknown
a threshold
separating one place from another
a metaphorical cocoon
that requires you to leave the world as you have
fully known it
and stay
suspended from the arc of life
a lonely singular room
in a light filled house
where my mother is the sun
and everything i do revolves around her
this interlude
this transformation
where i remind myself to breathe
to savor her voice
to soften my heart
to stay
even when the first birds of morning
arrive too soon.
i am by her side in all things
as we share the final journey.
i will return- yet,
i know not when.
please keep the haiku fires burning
i will only have my phone
so visit me from time to time
on instagram @patronsaintoftravel
where i will be sharing our story
xoxo
Foggy spring morning--
how deep is the well of grief
from which you now draw.
