waning sunflowers
catch golden dreams of finches
summer waves goodbye
the slow turning days of summer
begin their somersault
into fall.
all those touch the sky sunflowers
hang their dazzling heads nearly spent,
waving at heaven.
savoring each moment-
perched on the rim
of abundance.

Summer can't wave goodbye fast enough for me. I am so sick of the heat! (I'm allowed to complain a bit, aren't I?)

Such beautiful little birds, the finches. We don't see them often around here.

I'm with MMT here, can't wait for Autumn! At the moment, we have heavy thunderstorms in the Netherlands (and a leak in our roof!) but everything is better than that heat... hope your days are mild and lovely! Enjoy your weekend, hug from Holland.
