haiku my heart

 

i will plant prayer fields

a crowd of light, force for peace

 hope stands tall, blooms true

 

friends-

heartbroken.

 bereft 

in a senseless sea of suffering and destruction -

i am searching for a path of compassion and solidarity. 

a compelling way to serve and support

the people of Ukraine.

while i seek a clear direct need

to fill-

may i ask you to join me in planting giant swaths 

of sunflowers in your summer garden?

symbols of light and courage,

Ukraine's national flower,

so many

they will be visible as golden light from Space.
