bright unfastening
a shock of wings stir the light
the weight of life lifts
somewhere outside my dark dreaming
the birds begin.
layering the promise of each china blue morning
with their great feathering of hope.
and i lay there
in that bright unfastening and everyone i have ever known
is a star in the lightening sky.
small words
swimming in the light

If only we could fly and lift the weight of life... wonderful haiku Rebecca! I wish light days in this year!
