sipping tea with you
sweet peace from each tiny cup
my heart is renewed
friends....
how many small cups have we passed
across the seasons
to sip and savor friendships
that nourish our souls
and comfort our hearts?

Thank you, dear friend, for hosting this haiku-group for so long. I enjoy every Friday I join in. I remember Spadoman, I still follow Kim and Deb although they don't write haiku anymore and I celebrate online friendship and the shared passion for haiku with you all. I raise my glass to you ('cause overhere in Holland, it's time for wine!) Cheers sweetie!

Eleven years ago... you found me and gifted me with this circle and practice of writing haiku. It has taught me to see the world in a whole new way. This well of love and tiny sips has brought me back again and again when it was all I could do to utter 17 syllables. And I have had had the joy of meeting many of our circle over the years, near and afar... thank you Rebecca, with all my heart for this joy. And for the synchronicities! Sipping with you, sweet friend!

Eleven years ago you found me teaching at Sanders Middle School in northern Arizona. You invited me to be a part of this weekly haiku gathering. I hesitated. I had no idea who you were. But I took a chance, Rebecca, and I'm glad I did. Haiku My Heart has been, and continues to be, my wine for the journey and bread in the wilderness. Thank you.

That is so wonderful, eleven years of lovely haiku and other sweet written thoughts. I have not been here the eleven years; dear Gemma brought me a few years ago, but its a testament to your loving heart that you have had many of the same followers for that many years. I am happy to have become one of your flock. xoxo
