tiny holy buds
dreaming just below the ice
longing for the sun
paring down our winter hearts
hungry for spring
morning ponds just outside the window
cast a frozen still life
until the sun and one hundred waterbirds
rake this frozen slate of morning
into a shimmering
faceted dance of perfect light
suddenly
everything changes....
sometimes you turn around and hardly
recognize yourself in the passing mirror
all the more reason to move in kindness
choose with compassion
be a part of something
larger than
longing.
it's been a long lonely winter and people everywhere
are hungry for light.

Hungry for spring indeed... but I am facing a weekend/week filled with snow and ice - so the weather forcast says. Another winter season, and I am growing older... let's move in kindness you say, and I will do just that. Thanks for your wise words Rebecca, stay safe and warm. Big, warm hug from over the (cold) ocean!

Spring cannot come too soon for me! Though we've had no severe weather I feel so confined. Hoping for the freedom Spring will bring! Glory be to God! Have a wonderful weekend!

Dreaming with you all... and sending some sunshine that falls between our much needed rain. I am so grateful for the beauty here, dear Rebecca, and all that we share on this Fridays throughout all of the seasons. Much love to you my friend. XO
