oh to float above
the gravity of sorrow
make light everything
“Today is one of those excellent January partly cloudies
in which light chooses
an unexpected part of the landscape to trick out in gilt,
and then the shadow sweeps it away.
You know you’re alive.
You take huge steps,
trying to feel the planet’s roundness
arc between your feet.”
dear ones,
thank you for your tender knowing,
your compassion and care.
i am just beginning to
feel the planet's roundness
arc between my feet.
xoxo

Floating above all is a feeling I've always wished I could sense. . .letting everything go! Running free like I was a kid again! Thank you for this vision! It is always so comforting to visit here!.

"To float above sorrow..." How marvelous! It took some weight off my chest just reading that. Thank you so much, Rebecca.

Keep searching for that roundness, Rebecca. It's there. Just very elusive. Thank you for opening the door to your room for haiku, even though I know you would maybe prefer to retreat to your blanket cave and give in to your grief. Its so good that we have memories. Be well. xo
