the weight of winter
falls from lifes open branches
my path crosses yours
and so the days move one to the next
quietly as we shelter at home.
suddenly what was once our vibrant life in spring
has become a winter full of
unspeakable loss.
it is a time when we must look within and
reach far beyond the boundaries
of our human suffering,
a time to magnify
our love.
a flood of light
for a world of healing

Rebecca, how is your mother-in-law doing? I have been away from Haiku My Heart for awhile now. Love and light, as always.

I'm watching the leaves this year as never before... they let go with such ease and grace, like a dance... it is my prayer each day, to let go in this way, to follow the wick of my heart for as long as I have a light to share... I am so grateful that our paths meet again and again and when we least expected, again. I love you dear friend and our circle here with all my heart.

This picture, the sweetness of it, with a hat and coat of winter snow, is so very beautiful. Thank you for sharing that moment.
