bright feast of holy
sunlight lifts the darkest hearts
prayers slip through like clouds
quiet and thoughtful;
i share a the view from where i stand-
praying for the light to
enter and lift
every heart.

I'm thankful for prayers, the answered as well as the unanswered. Somehow praying seems to make life more bearable--and I don't think I'm indulging in wishful thinking. Peace to all who come to this prayerful haiku place today!

I dont think any amount of love or light will lift every heart because some are just so dark the light is snuffed as soon as it enters. So sad for our world.

I love the photo and your haiku, it's comforting that there still is the sun, the mountains, the light and dark and that the world keeps on turning no matter what... hug from Holland!
