photograph by bob king
here the darkening trees
bereft of shimmering leaves
don a million stars
days shortening.
night, a long winded bedfellow with icy feet.
autumn begs for reflection, slowing down.
time beside the warming fire.
life is a song of letting go.
when finally complete,
we too are poised
for stars.

thank you for your warmth and beauty,
even when life has kept me away.
so many challenges in the autumn of ones life.
XO

I am spending the days in a swirl of leaves letting go... practicing their dance of spinning one last time, as they pirouette in the air before gently touching the earth... I spent last night under the stars and breathed in their beauty as I am breathing in the beauty here my sweet friend. I love you so. XO
