fall's epiphany
love sets the world on fire
one crimson leaf falls
i look up to the gathering light
which falls so evenly on
us all.
there is no holding back
or hesitation-
light simply enters us.
lifts our eyes forever upward
above the fray
of our shared brokenness.
reaches down into our darkest hours,
lights more candles, hangs more glory.
every new day since the beginning of time-
repeats her flood of light and hope.
"wake up, wake up
wake up to love."

If it weren't for love, where would any of us be?

My favorite time of the year. How I love sharing all the changing seasons with you Rebecca, and our circle of small words. Thank you for having us and inspiring this glimmers of hope and light as we head the call to return to the longer nights where we are the light and begin preparation for yet another turn in the seasons. XO
