impassioned summer
burnt sunsets raging monsoons
tempestuous day
oh goodness...
can we leave the turbulence
of grand displays to the natural world?
cue rebellious stars
unleash outbursts of thunder
surrender to flower fields' riot of colour
nature you have no shame and
we love you for it.
your squalls, your flair, your unbridled outbursts
so awe inspiring in nature-
so beguiling in a man.
(synonyms of beguiling:
mislead, deceive, entice, scam, lure, dupe,
exploit, manipulate, hoodwink, chisel, trick, con, flimflam,
impose on, play for a sucker, betray.)
keep calm and carry on

Unless my eyes deceive me, I'm looking at Thumb Butte in your photo, Rebecca. I'm so glad to be here once again, but will have to link up a little later. My haiku is still gestating!

Your haiku resonates the sad news of Paul's death. Trust you are well, Rebecca. Lovely weekend.

May I ever so humbly, realize that when I am a tempest in a teapot... may I pour a tea that is true and healing and soothing, allowing others the opportunity to wake up to their hearts and this miracle of being in this incredible world. I love how you transformed these words into a form that is beautiful and sets my heart a fire like that glorious sunset. Thank you, sweet friend! XOXOXO

There's a lot of tempestuousness in the world, and that's why I appreciate haiku so much: it calms me down!

Yes, we must all keep calm and carry on, and let Mother Nature do as she will and let earthlings play out their lives. Blessings, Rebecca, to you for these much needed Fridays!
