sweet awakening
seeds of hope from darkest night
how i savor spring
dear spring
how i savor each note of your glory song.
as the last cold stars of winter fade on the open palm of awakening;
all your warmth and beauty calling us out
into the gathering light.
i am swept away once more at your profound
ability to pluck the seeds of hope
from the darkest nights.
the quilt of winter is slowly folding in on itself.
soon the house of our dreams
will be light and airy,
windows will open themselves within us all.
it is the way of things;
darkness finally giving way to our holy
longing for clarity and light.
how you stir so wildly the passion
to let loose,
opening our hearts in a crush of blooming;
spreading our love
of life and each other across the horizon.
thank you. for propping us up in your persuasive welcoming.
for placing bright cups of happiness
on the footpaths of life.
for letting loose a soft wind
that even now
whirls a mysterious veil from your first to bloom.
reminding us to fall gracefully
like so many spent petals;
where soon fruit will ripen in
the great current of love.

What a beautiful tribute to Spring. Nature herself will be proud this day.
Blessings to you Rebecca.

Dear Rebecca, thank you for sharing this cup of beauty. I so love the turning of the seasons, and how they each give us exactly what we need... opening, falling, slipping into this dance of mystery... xoxoxo

Aaaahhhh yes, those warm spring breezes and promising spring blooms. Nothing like it to thaw that winter frozen heart.

Oh, how I savor the warmth of the day no matter how short! It actually got up to 50 degrees yesterday and the sun was shining! The day before it snowed! That's just the way it is so we all have to resign ourselves to the fact we are not in control and thank God for every day! Thank you, too! Have a grand weekend!

There's no place I'd rather be on a Friday morning than at Haiku My Heart.
