is hope a color;
a bright landscape of sunny ease and eternal possibility?
does it live in the heart of each moment
or is it as elusive as pink bulbs
spinning silver roots beneath a blinding snow?
a bright sun
wedging grace in and out of dark mountains, angry clouds.
must we coax it into being, or is it an
open palm waiting,
a heart shaped rock at our feet when we can't seem to look up,
a profusion of flowers when we need them most?
i imagine hope is as boundless as each upturned face.
a flame in the heart of every seed
bursting with life and our innate desire for wholeness.
i imagine hope is the motherlove of all life's challenges
calling us to greatness.
i am sure it is reborn in every offering of compassion.
i am sure it makes rocks sing, life bearable, the weary rise, wells fill,
the impossible; possible.
today may every heart be comforted.
may those who sit firm in the hand of grace
hold others,
may those overcome
be held tight.
XO

Thank you Rebecca, for this offering of hope... I love the image of finding something at your feet when you can't look up... sometimes, it is the softest of fluttering in our hearts... that small voice that whispers, all will be right, that the sun will shine again. Sometimes that is all I can hold on to, that promise of a new day to get me through this one. And coming here and receiving all of this Mary love. Thank you sweet friend. XO
