summer yields to fall
dares you to become the wind
old flames are stirring
summer, you slay me with your crush of flowers,
your languid golden hours.
but autumn oh autumn-
season of the great letting go-
you have my heart
with your first flame.
a circle of seasons sweetened with
the presence of dear friends

I too love this time of year... leaves turning fire red, orange and yellow in their fire of letting go... and here we arrive, like a wind in itself scattering words of the heart. How I love our Fridays and you my sweet friend. XOXO

It does feel like there is a change in the wind today. Remnants of Harvey passing through. The calendar turns a new page.

Yes, Fall and especially September has my heart as well. Happier days are coming. Cooler. Snuggly. Yes! Thanks Rebecca for being here on Fridays. xo

Our numbers have dwindled, but our commitment to haiku remains as strong as ever. It's always heartwarming to be here.
