dear mother of all vulnerabilities,

thank you for 

being eternally accessible.

for embracing

the dark mystery of every ones life. 

for allowing yourself to be seen, deeply seen;

and for seeing us,

and loving us

completely.

for reminding us that we are not here just to be something

but to become

someone.

that living whole heartedly is a precious gift

found on a path of compassion and courage;

in spite of and yes;

even because

of all our 

short comings.

thank you for being a

font of forgiveness, a well of acceptance.

for awakening in us an open heart 

and the eyes to see everyone

as our child.

for reassuring us in our most challenging moments 

and by example reminding us

that we are strong enough to answer the ultimate calling,

to live fiercely with our whole hearts,

trail blazers on the path of

love.
