Our Lady of the Fruits of the World

such love does
the sky now pour,
that whenever i stand in a field
i have to wring the light out when i get
home.

I don't think I've ever seen this representation of the Madonna and child. It's so charming! And the words of Francis of Assisi are magnificent. If anything, his words form a more potent image that the visual representation.

Oh, St. Francis, how filled with joy and the humor of God you are. Having your words come to us, down through the centuries, has lead many to his light that you so love.

What Meri said above. A new madonna and child and amazement at St. Francis's poem. Great way to start the day. Hope your day is a good one, Rebecca.
