i am deeply honored to introduce you to my dear friend-

lena bartula.

   

lena uses the rich context of the traditional huipil

as a canvas for deep story telling.

She considers art making as a way to speak of beauty, truth, spirit, joy, pain, justice,

everything that this human life entails. 

 

 “In creating our own huipil, we are using it as a vehicle, where acceptance,

 forgiveness and transformation have a place to co-exist.”
