it's the little things
bright hope wrapped around our hearts
we wake to bird song
we wake to bird song
footsteps leading to the light
soul full of hunger
soul full of hunger
back to the love of morning
it's the little things
good morning lovers of small words.
thank you for your bright presence in my haiku heart.
may the practice of haiku
soften the complexities of our lives;
reminding us to notice
even the smallest ray of light
and let go
of everything that stands
between our hearts and the
luminous present.

"the practice of haiku"
I'm loving that phrase, and loving being here with you all today!

It is, indeed, the little things. Those are the ones we treasure most often and take for granted the least! Thank you and have a wonderful weekend!

A soul full of hunger is a good thing, don't you think? And nothing satisfies that hunger for me like haiku. How about you?

Hoping we can all follow your lovely thoughts and find pleasure and peace in those small words. Blessings.

It's always the little things that matter and count, dear Rebecca. And for me, Fridays and the time with you all on Haiku My Heart count so much. Have a blessed weekend dear friend.

Blessings to you today and always dear Rebecca, the smallest things are so often the most beautiful… we must make it a practice to pause and notice.

How our Friday mornings have changed my world... I look at things more closely, allowing these small words to convey big things that matter. Thank you for this space and having us all here... XOXOXO

worn and weathered hands are so gentle as they cup the tender young blossom. if all life were treated so gently, we would all be so much more happy.
