how they kiss the sky
wings of light that lift our hearts
love's pollinators
season after season
they return
floating on the most fragile of wings;
reminding me of all that is possible.
a life dedicated to pollinating beauty-
endowed with the strength to make the longest
migration in the world.
hope infused
they float above flowers and drift on trade winds.
tiny wondrous
songs of strength and fortitude.
small and beautiful like butterflies.

What a shock! Up on Thursday morning! I'll be back tomorrow with my haiku offering. In the meantime, blessings to all who flutter their way to this sacred space.

Beautiful blessing as always dear Rebecca… butterflies fill me with a feeling of hope and lightness too. Thanks as always for creating this sacred space for us to meet each week.

There is "butterfly alley" in my back yard. I see them all day flying past the window to the milkweed, then flying back. Love these gentle winged creatures. Love the light that comes from your heart, Rebecca.

Wonder if they can remember being a caterpillar? Maybe they migrate in thankfulness (like a pilgrimage) for their wings of light.
