all morning i have been culling through
a treasure trove of photo memories to offer you a taste of
the alluring charm of san miguel de allende
from seven years of unforgettable folk art tours.
each return is a new awakening;
as once more the doors of our hearts swing wide to share
the spell of mexico and her warm generous way
of wrapping golden light around each soul and
opening every pour of ones senses to wonder and delight.
words fall too short and
even a thousand photographs would not begin to convey
what awaits you.

Such spectacular warmth compared to my cold winter in Don's childhood home. I'm enjoying it once; not sure if it is repeatable.

You just left San Miguel, and I just arrived! Someday, I'm sure, we'll both be here at the same time, and, oh, what a wonder that will be!

What wonderful photographs of such a magical place. I cannot wait until our workshop, Everyday Saints, this October. Torn paper collage is the perfect art form for San Miguel.

Dear Rebecca, this is such a lovely post, filled with wonder and magic and San Miguel through your eyes. I can't wait to teach my workshop in September and dream of it all the time!
Thank you for letting me be a part of your wondrous world,
roxanne
