finally will it not be enough,
after much living,
after much love,
after much dying of those you have loved,
to sit on the porch near sundown
with your eyes simply open,
watching the wind shape the clouds into shapes of clouds?
even then you will remember the history of love,
shaped in the shapes of flesh,
ever changing as the clouds that pass,
the blessed yearning of body for body,
unending light.
you will remember watching the clouds,
the future of love.

oh jeez...just saw, after I posted that you already linked!!
I could sit and watch those clouds pass by my eyes all day long. Am off now to find colorful leaves and a quiet spot to pull out my journal, or maybe just sit and watch the clouds pass by.
much love

oh
oh
how clever
was wendell berry !!
i am just now learning
to do this
{{ i am rather ashamed to admit }}
as one who never wanted to miss a thing,
sitting still
seemed like a Waste of Time
to me
for so long
and
yet
and
yet
how wise to Reflect
before moving on ...
at the end of the day now
i sit
without my iphone
ipad
ithis
or ithat
and remember my family
& our good times
and i feel so blessed ...
(( looking forward,
dear one,
to some
sitting*down*time with you
soon }}

PS--certainly
that is the biggest sky

how grateful I am that you followed those bread crumbs... that you hold my heart in your hands... that your voice whispers in my breeze at twilight... how grateful I am to know love and a friendship such as you... XO

Cloud watching that's my fave pass-time,
I must have reached that age...!
Wendell's words and your place here where better to find paradise?
