"deep within you is everything that is perfect
ready to radiate through you
and out into the world."

"just move one step in the direction of your souls longing.
do not worry about where it leads.
don't try to imagine the specifics of what you will eventually create,
it will come."

"I am never afraid of the blank canvas,
since each one begins with a dance gesture on the canvas,
and that determines the feeling and direction the painting will take.
It is a conversation, a dialogue in which the painting tells me what it needs next.
I listen and dance with it."

“There is a vitality, a life force, a quickening
That is translated through you into action,
And, because there is ONLY ONE OF YOU in all time,
This expression is unique.
And, if you block it,
It will never exist through any other medium
And, be lost.
The world will not have it.
It is not your business to determine how good it is:
Nor how valuable it is: nor how it compares with other expressions.
It is your business to keep it yours clearly and directly,
To keep the channel open.”
Martha Graham
"i do not paint to express myself, but rather,
to maintain contact with something far greater than myself.
i follow a life thread, from work to work
and never know where it will lead me."
jenny hunter grout
“Don’t ask what the world needs.
Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it.
Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.”
–Howard Thurman
"we are cups,
constantly and quietly being filled.
the trick is knowing how to tip ourselves over and let the
beautiful stuff out."
ray bradbury
"Your work is to discover your world
and then with all your heart
give yourself to it."
Buddha
once more i have been deeply honored to host flora bowley's
bloom true san miguel de allende .
a lovely nest of women from all corners of the world arrived with
hopes, expectations and mysteries to discover.
each day we began in the heart circle where flora welcomed us to
love fiercely,
live our dreams out loud, renew, let go,
create boldly.
the week was
as much an unraveling as a shoring up.
being present, moving through layers of resistance
discovering that sweet spot of pure expression,
falling out of trust and making our way back again;
over and over.
loving oneself enough to
embrace it all.
love
stands central to all possibilities.
creativity, growth, willingness, courage, honesty, healing, expression,
everything;
so we paint, we paint to love.
thank you flora
for your heart crushing beauty,
for opening doors we had not yet discovered in ourselves
and pouring in the light of possibilities.
thank you bloomers for sharing the dream.

I know that what you came away with the first time you shared the worshop with Flora was amazing, and it is obvious that this time was even better. It's like you've found another calling...stretched your soul...found a place of joy that cannot be budged. What a union of hearts and souls...a beautiful thing, to be sure!
