Love this calaca, love Mary Oliver and love this line:

Never in my life
had I felt myself so near
that porous line
where my own body was done with
and the roots and the stems and the flowers
began.

I love Mary Oliver and actually don't have any of her books. I'm almost tempted to d/l one on my Kindle. Love your calaca covered with blossoms.

Wow. Mary Oliver is a favorite poet but I don't remember ever reading this particular poem. Deeply moving.

I have thought on this poem all day... it reminds of the Frida Kahlo painting of Luther Burbank, it reminds me that I still have much to surrender, or at least I think I do, I actually think it is as simple as falling asleep and waking... XO
