The romantic nature of this haiku and its fascinating reference to a strange weather phenomenon in which "luminous plasma is created by a coronal discharge from a sharp or pointed object" has me itching to know more about St. Elmos' fire in this particular scene. I think that I hear a lovely romantic Mexican serenade coming on. Whew! Anyone for a bit of ice cream now? Love the colors, the scene, the haiku and the fun rebecca. Most of all I love you!

I'm not sure I would agree that anything is better than ice cream but it fits in the haiku so there you have it.
