dia de los muertos, "days of the dead".
when the doors open between the past and present
allowing the reunion of hearts and souls.
sacred time,
when the veil between the worlds becomes so porous
the living and the dead converge, for a sacred returning
that defies space and time.
as we sit close to our loved ones
in a sea of flickering candles,
a tendril of incense,
an out pouring of love so comforting that we are
swept away in its profound understanding
that life is sweeter shared,
honored, treasured, exalted, cherished,
heaped with flowers,
blazing with candle light, embraced with passion.
i am so honored to be welcoming everyone here at
recuerda mi corazon
co-hosting dia de bloglandia with
stephanie at the mango studio.
each story of loved ones shared is profound in
uniting our hearts in the house of belonging.
be sure to link at both our blog homes,
each stop along this flower chain is one more heart
touched with the light of love.
as you enjoy your journey from one offrenda to the next,
please leave a note of acknowledgement along the way.
i am sitting in warm candle light as each of your
offerings wash over my heart. i too am filled
with the presence and gratitude of our ancestors
and feel so grateful for the love we are all
so blessed by.
my offrenda is a simple one,
a pure white prayer for peace.

This white on white alter is absolutely stunning. There is a transcendence to it that is breathtaking.

Thank you! to both you and Steph for the lovely online ofrenda offerings and for the space to share. I was happy to just have a time carved out for the remembering.
Such a joy again thanks. xoxo

The veil is at its thinnest now and our loved ones who have gone before us are at their closest.

Thanks again, so very much, for co-hosting Dia de Bloglandia with us. Our October journey, and these past two days have been very special time for reflecting on those I love who have passed over.

Rebecca - what a beautiful shrine! Is this carved out of wood... or a plaster of some kind?
It is so very kind of you to pull this event together for all of us; so nice to peek into each others' hearts.

Howdy! It appears as though we both have a
interest for the same thing. Your blog, "recuerda mi corazon: dia de los muertos lifts the veil to dia de bloglandia" and
mine are very similar.
Have you ever thought of authoring a guest post for a similar blog?
It will
certainly help gain publicity to your
blog (my website recieves a lot of visitors). If you happen to be interested, e-mail me at:
janellespear@gmail.com.
Thank you so much
