ALL the altars and artwork are amazing, Rebecca! Wow - what a talented group of artists, donating for a good cause.
Your piece is stunning!!! What an original idea, using the silver tray. The whole piece is so beautiful.
PS: I wrote a post about the auction today with links to you, Oaxaca Street Children Grassroots and to the auction page.

Hi Rebecca. I'll have to change to Firefox and see if it works. I tried with IE but it gives me a blank screen. I'll be back. That's a beautiful heart. Be right back.

Wow, every piece is outstanding! It will be an excellent auction.

It's so exciting that, after all our collective work, the day has finally come to begin the auction process! The shrines are all so captivating, and made with loving hearts. I'm off to get the word out!

This is so exciting! The altars are beautiful! I can post the banner on my blog, but I don't know how to make a link. (I get help when I need to do that, so I'll try.) Nothing was on the page except your header when I clicked on Gallery of Hope. Is that because I have Explorer? I'll keep trying! Good luck!!! Is that your altar, Rebecca, with the baroque silver cross? So symbolic and moving.

I've already perused the offerings -- and even remembered my login info from years past.

Just posted your banner on my blog. This is a lovely thing . Your heart is so open and wonderful. The artwork is phenomenal and I think the children will feel the love as well as the financial support. Hugs to you, my friend!

Can't seem to get to the place to bid - I do have Firefox so that's not the issue --- can you advise?
Would have contributed a shrine if I had known it was happening again. I am out of the loop...

Happy Birthday too...
Posted by: sarah | June 05, 2011 at 10:01 AM
Rebecca: I think there's a code (html) we need to put this on our blogs. I'm on Wordpress so for me it would be a "text widget" I would create and I would copy and paste that code into the widget so it would appear on my blogroll and be a link. The only other way I can see to do it is to simply use the banner as an image and then create a link under it and put it in a post, but after a day it would be gone unless people looked back into the archives.
I also don't see a way to bid.
