this is what i am drawn to.
seeker that i am, to the heart of each moment.
the sacred, hidden within the ordinary.
the eternal conviction that we are all inextricably bound to each other.
the belief that divinity resides in each of us,
and the honest desire to coax it out of each fleeting moment.

an honoring of mary that comes to life every year
in san miguel de allende.
semana santa
holy week.
each day the scent of pungent herbs is released into the warm air
with the footsteps of the devoted,
walking on boughs of chamomile
strewn by angels.
as an entire town carries on the traditions of
Easter
that have been
reenacted with a fervent love for over 600 years.
you can read more about this event here...

today is also my infusion day, which means i
will be away from the computer all day.
i look forward to your offerings
and will visit each one of you
when i return from
a very long
day

please also visit deb for
where everyone is invited to share their
passion for mexico.
I am here. With you. Always. This series of photos are so beautiful. I could look at them all day, feeling peaceful and contentment.

The sorrow and tears and pleas of our lady here must be holding the hopes of forgiveness of all of her children.

Nevermind, Rebecca. I just went through your archives and discovered the answer for myself. Love and blessings, Annie.

So profound-the experience in San Miguel Allende and your words. Again, I am deeply moved and speechless. I have longed to visit San Miguel Allende and Oaxaca for some time now. I know that I will-I just have to be patient.

How I wish I could go on your trip but that isn't possible this year. What wonderful photos of a special feast day. All those rapt faces. Then the golden hand appearing in a door. Was that a doorknob or what was the context?

Oh dear, I was too hasty again, clicking before I entered my current Virgin! Sorry!
I hope you are feeling okay after your day of 'harbouring' dearest Rebecca.
Something sustains your never ending beauty and vision, as always I'm ever so grateful.
Warm hugs to you,
Sue x

Dearest Rebecca,
Such a luminous face on your sweet and long suffering Madonna casting her beautiful, large, eyes plaintively toward heaven for all those who love too much and are given too little below. May you be given much and loved much today. Thank you for this beautiful gift of yourself and your elegant grace.
Love,
Noelle
