round and round turn the prayer wheels,
bathing layer after layer of honey scented amber
over pure white wicks in a centuries-old dance.
we stood watching the red wheels turn so rhythmically
air warm with the fragrance of flowers
bees admiring the work of industrious summers
like bright red ferris wheels so perfectly joyful
turning always turning to be baptized by knowing hands.
each circular journey adding one more layer to the lengthening fingers
their darma, simply to accept. to receive. to surrender.
the humming of the slow turning wheels...
careful knowing hands bathing their dreams,
to wait shoulder to shoulder
until the day they are chosen.
their light to blaze on the altars of our hearts,
their amber prayers to anoint us with the song of flowers.

That first picture brought to mind La Danza de los Voladores de Papantla - they're getting ready to "fly!" xoxo

A sacred job creating prayers on candles for others to light prayers upon. Thank you for sharing this Rebecca.
Hugs to you and ANgel!
